How To Apply For a Scholarship:

In 1997 the Kevin Dowling Scholarship Fund was established to keep Kevin's name alive by establishing a scholarship to help students with a learning disability.

Kevin Dowling was a seventeen-year old football player with a learning disability, who in 1995 passed out during that summer's extreme heat and had to have a liver transplant. Despite the efforts of his doctors, he passed away shortly thereafter.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who exemplify the dedication and determination that Kevin Dowling put forth in his family, education, and community and in his life.

Please make sure your complete application, with all support documentation (essay, transcripts, letters of recommendation) is mailed together in one envelope POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN MARCH 31 to:

The Kevin Dowling Scholarship Fund
PO Box 702
Oak Lawn, IL 60454

The Scholarship Committee will base its decision on the ENTIRE RECORD of each applicant, the Selection Committee will then choose the scholarship recipient and announce the winner by MAY 1 (of the same year the application was received: e.g. applications received by March 31, 2018 announcement May 1, 2018). Every applicant will be notified in writing of the outcome of the selection process.
